EFFICIENCY

AIR OPERATIONS
GRYPHON AIR, in conjunction with the client, selects the right aircraft for the job. Complementing the right machine with the right kind of pilot unleashes the full potential that an air operation can achieve. GRYPHON AIR’S selective recruitment policy for pilots ensures an elite team is deployed to the client’s theatre of operations.

GRYPHON AIR operations work effectively within an aviation system only if strong, trusting relationships are developed with the respective authorities from the grass roots up.

GRYPHON AIR is firm in its determination to retain a strong corporate safety culture. To this end we place top priority in the appointment of a Safety and Security Officer, with the mandate to drive the safety management system to the highest possible standards. Our safety focus emphasises the training and development of skills, as well as the use of high end avionics to maximise situational awareness. Part of this focus is on low visibility technologies (e.g. Night Vision Goggles, FLIR panels, GPS assisted approaches) which not only improve safety but also dispatch rates. Safety and contingency planning includes networking with security agencies and the compilation of comprehensive search and rescue procedures for instantaneous implementation. The use of defensive missile countermeasure systems (DAS) will allow GRYPHON AIR to operate with a much higher level of safety in hostile areas, some of which are currently off-limits to civilian operators.

Rather than restricting operations, this ethos of safety planning  allows us to operate in areas and situations which are not in the usual realm of civilian aviation. GRYPHON AIR was established to support contractors and agencies operating in high risk areas, and our safety-contingency planning allows us to do that with maximum efficiency and peace-of-mind for our clients.

GROUND OPERATIONS
An aircraft sitting on the ground is a loss to everyone. The key to minimising ground time, and maximising the dispatch rate, is a focussed maintenance management plan carried out by the right engineers. Attention to passenger handling, communications and ground security complements the focus on reducing aircraft turnaround times.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
GRYPHON AIR’S principles of operations management are along three simple premises; systems, responsibility and accountability. GRYPHON AIR’S quality assurance system (using a detailed data collection and analysis system) is the internal measure of our efficiency. We do, however, see the integration of customised IT into the business as the ultimate key to achieving maximum efficiency. Ultimately, our goal is to utilise IT to facilitate the real time management of the business on every level.

VALUE

OPERATIONS
n aircraft operation saves time and lives and although they are expensive they’re highly cost effective. Aircraft bypass difficult terrain, hostile areas, shorten travel time on long distances and are a more comfortable means of travel. This has a knock on effect, on the client’s business, of increasing employee productivity and security, widening the geographical reach and building capacity.

Aircraft operations may be restricted by weather and a labour intensive maintenance and logistical support system. GRYPHON AIR has developed sound strategies to minimise the effects of these potential restrictions.

PEOPLE
GRYPHON AIR’S greatest strength is its people. The nature of our operations demands that our crew have a high level of experience and initiative, as well as local knowledge. GRYPHON AIR’S clients can be confident that with over 40 years of combined aviation experience, management can make balanced, solid recommendations. GRYPHON AIR’S field staff is made up of motivated people, who are encouraged to think ‘out-of-the-box’ and operate as team players.

CLIENT SERVICES
Our approach to client services includes ensuring that you know where and how effectively your money is being spent. Management reports (statistics, problems and solutions, financial summaries) and regular meetings evolve operational concepts and mature with the service. Should it be required, the client can contact the directors of GRYPHON AIR twenty four hours a day.
